Belong And Album Leaf Hit The Road

Experimental fuzz rockers Belong will be hitting the road this May in support of their 2006 debut, October Language (Carpark). The band will be bringing their brand of dance-rock to the East Coast, kicking off in Tampa, Florida. Joining the band on the road is Sub Pop electronic outfit the Album Leaf.

"The Album Leaf shows will be our first outside of New Orleans as a three-piece. When we toured last year with Ariel Pink, we toured as a two-piece because it was the most viable thing for us to do at that time," says Turk Dietrich, one-half of the duo, who tends to a mellotron with a midi controller on stage. "The show is much stronger with the additional instrumentation."

In addition to the tour, Belong are set to release a limited-edition LP this summer and have just begun work on their second full-length. The band is aiming for an early 2008 release.
