The Eagles to play private London gig
The Eagles are to play a one-off private gig in London's Indigo venue at the O2 Arena on 31 October.
Tickets, which are reported to cost up to ?950 plus VAT, will not be available to the public - only to invited members of the music industry.
A spokeswoman for the event said it was a "once in a lifetime gig" to mark the release of 'Long Road Out Of Eden' on October 29, reports BBC News.
Meanwhile the band are also rumoured to be close to signing a deal with the NFL in the US to play the halftime show at the 2008 Super Bowl which takes place on February 3. |
The View to launch Club NME Milan
The View are set to kick off proceedings at Club NME: Milan.
The world's greatest indie night - with branches in New York and Los Angeles as well as many across the UK - will launch in Italy on May 13 at the Transilvania Club at 10pm.
The first night will see The View and The Futureheads playing live, along with Club NME DJs manning the decks.

Interpol to release 'Mammoth' new single
Interpol are to follow up their forthcoming appearances at the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals by releasing a new single.
'Mammoth', the second track to be lifted from new LP 'Our Love To Admire', is released on September 3.
Before that the band play the Main Stage at Reading (August 24) before moving on to Leeds the following day.
Before that, they play a trio of UK indoor shows, and then return in November for big shows in Blackpool and London. |
