Countdown to Lollapalooza begins
The countdown has begun to Lollapalooza, which will take place this weekend in Grant Park, Chicago.
Daft Punk, The Rapture, The Cribs and Muse will all play the veteran US festival, which was created and is curated by Perry Farrell.
CSS, Interpol and Yeah Yeah Yeahs are also on the bill for the event, which NME.COM will be covering in great detail throughout the weekend.

Pete Doherty Sentenced: singer due in court tomorrow
Pete Doherty is due in court at 10am tomorrow morning (August 7).
The Babyshambles singer is due to attend West London Magistrates Court to be sentenced for a drugs charge.
Doherty pleased guilty to possessing class A drugs on July 3, and was ordered to reappear for sentencing tomorrow.
The charges releate from May 5 when he was stopped by police in Kensington High Street, central London.
Having pleased guilty to possessing quantities of crack, heroin, cannabis and ketamine, as well as two driving offences, the singer is also facing an additional charge of failing to appear in court without reasonable excuse after he turned up late to the initial hearing.
Since pleading guilty, Doherty has undergone a drug rehabilitation programme (in Harrogate, Yorkshire) - at the court's request.
The singer was warned at his last appearance that failure to comply with the court's instructions could leave him facing a prison sentence.
