Support acts come in the form of Amy Winehouse, The Coral, Supergrass and Japanese Beatles tribute band The Parrots.

Tickets go on sale on June 20 at 10am.
Carl Barat overcomes illness to play Isle Of Skye

Carl Barat overcame illness to play with his band Dirty Pretty Things at The Isle Of Skye Festival last night (May 26).

Suffering from a heavy cold and throat problems, Barat was attended at his hotel by the festival's medical team, as the stops were pulled out to get him back on form.

The band were already without guitarist Anthony Rossamondo, who is presently in New York on personal business. He was replaced by The Paddingtons' Josh Hubbard, a long-time ally of both Barat and his former Libertines bandmate Pete Doherty.

"We weren't sure we were going to make it," guitarist Didz Hammond explained from the stage, "Carl woke up today and he couldn't speak."

DPT introduced a new song - provisionally titled 'Best Face' at the bash, with the majority of the set coming from their 2006 debut album 'Waterloo To Anywhere'.

BRMC, Tokyo Police Club join Bumbershoot bill

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Tokyo Police Club, Fergie, and John Legend have joined the lineup for Seattle's Bumbershoot Music and Arts festival.

The festival has revelad its complete lineup, which also includes Kings of Leon, The Shins, Panic! At The Disco and Crowded House.

The 37th annual festival is set to take place September 1-3 at the 74-acre Seattle Center.

This year, festival organisers have introduced several greening initiatives such as using bio-diesel generators and banning Styrofoam to make it the greenest Bumbershoot in its nearly four-decade history.

The event also includes three comedy stages, a film component, visual art exhibitions and dance and theatre performances.

In addition, the songs of Nick Drake have been reinterpreted through film, writings, paintings and recordings and will be on display.

Date-specific tickets are currently available at a 30-percent discount for $25, and three-day passes are available for $75. Prices will increase to $95 for a three-day pass and $35 for one day beginning Friday (July 13).
