Paul McCartney delays tour due to divorce

Paul McCartney will not mount a world tour until after his divorce is finalised.

The former Beatle is currently in the process of legally separating from second wife Heather Mills and has decided not to hit the road for new album 'Memory Almost Full' until after proceedings are finalised.

"I'm going to do bits and pieces to support the album, but it won't be a major tour until possibly next year, and that's down to personal circumstances," McCartney told the Sunday Mirror.

The album is released on June 4, and although McCartney is expected to play some one-off shows it is unlikely a full tour - his first since 2005 - will now take place until next year.
Leona Lewis releases fastest selling single

Leona Lewis' new single 'Bleeding Love' has become the fastest selling
record in the UK this year.

'The X Factor' winner - who broke records with her debut single 'A Moment Like This' after she won the ITV reality show last year - is already outselling her biggest chart rivals Take That by two-to-one.

More than 3,000 people snapped up 'Bleeding Love' in the first hour after it had been released on Monday (22.10.07).

Record store HMV spokesperson Gennaro Castaldo said: "It's turning out to be a massive week for singles sales. 'Bleeding Love' is outselling Take That's 'Rule The World' by two-to-one and the rest of the top ten combined, and is on course to top 200,000 sales by the end of the week if stores can keep it in stock - it's without doubt the fastest-selling single of the year."

The 'Bleeding Love' video - which shows stunning Leona in curve-hugging Dolce and Gabanna dresses - is attracting an average of 150 views a minute worldwide on video sharing website YouTube.

The promo also received three million views online in the first 24 hours it was available.

If Leona is still number one when the top 10 selling singles in the UK are announced on Sunday (28.10.07), she will become the first 'The X Factor' winner to reach the top spot with a second single.
Stefani loses tour sponsor due to support act

Gwen Stefani has lost tour sponsorship from Verizon Wireless due to an incident relating to her support act Akon.

The offending incident occurred last month in Trinidad when Akon invited a 15-year-old female fan onstage with him. The suggestive dancing was deemed inappropriate.

Stefani's manager Jim Guerinot told Billboard: ""We're just in the beginning stages of evaluating" the impact of Verizon's move. Regarding the presenting sponsorship, he said: "We're surprised and shocked they've backed out of it."

"Akon has been a perfect gentleman on this tour," Guerinot added. "His show has at best been a PG show. Children of all ages have been attending. We have had no complaints - nothing but satisfied people. And I would say that we're shocked that Verizon would drop Gwen Stefani as part of this whole debate."
