Lindsay Lohan broke
Lindsay Lohan is reportedly broke after spending her $7 million fortune on drugs and alcohol.
The troubled Hollywood star - who left Utah's Cirque Lodge rehab clinic earlier this month after a two-month stay - is staying with movie producer Tom Gores in Los Angeles because her money has run out.
Gores was the executive producer of the 21-year-old actress' recent flop film 'I Know Who Killed Me'.
A source told Britain's News of the World newspaper: "Lindsay doesn't have much choice as she is totally broke. The only reason she's coming back to Los Angeles is to try and get some film work and earn some money fast.
"The amount she has wasted putting cocaine up her nose is disgusting. Even she has lost count."
Lindsay's extravagant spending spree reportedly includes $1 million on just one hotel bill.
She has also spent more than $137,000 on three separate stints in rehab battling her drug and alcohol addictions, and thousands more in legal fees after her conviction for DUI (driving under the influence).
Lindsay is also thought to have blown more than $1 million on clothes and $500,000 on partying, with another $70,000 spent in tanning and hair salons.
She has been forced her to sell her $2.85 million apartment in Los Angeles and her $1 million New York property because she couldn't afford the mortgage payments.
Last week, Lindsay's father Michael claimed she planned to stay away from Hollywood to avoid temptation.
He said: "She told me, 'Dad, I don't feel ready to go back to Hollywood.' "That's how committed Lindsay is to her sobriety. She doesn't want to do anything to mess it up." |
Kanye Targeting September For 'Graduation'
Kanye West is eyeing a September release for his third Def Jam album, "Graduation," which, as first reported here in January, will feature Coldplay's Chris Martin on the song "Graduation" as well as track "Can't Tell Me Nothing," a snippet of which has begun making the rounds online.
The latter cut, which was assembled with the help of DJ Toomp, finds West rapping, "I had a dream I could buy my way to heaven / When I woke I spent that on a necklace / I told God I'd be back in a second / Man, it's so hard not to act reckless."
West previously told Billboard he'd be working again with producer/multi-instrumentalist Jon Brion, who played a key role on his 2005 album "Late Registration."
The artist will make a handful of live appearances this summer, beginning July 2 in Manchester, England, and including a July 7 set at Live Earth in East Rutherford, N.J., a July 14 stop at the Cisco Systems Bluesfest in Ottawa, Ontario, and an Aug. 18-19 booking at the U.K.'s V Festival. |
Tabloid Hell: Britney in trouble again
Britney Spears is in trouble again, following an incident in which she hit a car in a car park, then drove away.
The troubled pop princess was being followed by a swarm of paparazzi as she entered a car park space in Studio City, California yesterday (August 8). She had a puppy in her lap.
When Spears realised she had hit the adjacent car, she inspected just her own Mercedes convertible for damage, but ignored the parked vehicle.
The owner of the other car, Kim Robard-Rifkin said that Spears has not attempted to contact her regarding the damage, saying "It was simply like my car didn't matter to her, my inconvenience didn't matter to her."
Rifkin was surprised that Spears had not been in touch, considering the whole episode was documented online and on TV and asked "What kind of person wouldn't realise that this (would) be on TV and she had to be responsible and contact me?".
Rifkin says she just wants her car fixed and filed a police report today. |
