| Kanye West names tour Kanye West has revealed details of his forthcoming tour. The star is calling it the Glow In The Dark Tour, and has hired Madonna's choreographer Jamie King to lend a hand. "I saw the last Madonna concert - (King) did the last Madonna concerts and so I've been sitting down vibing with him, 'cause I want to bring the level of entertainment up another level," West told MTV.com. "At the end of the day, regardless of the 'he said/she said,' regardless of whatever shit I talk, whatever shit anybody else talks -- come to the show and have a good time," West said. The dates of the tour have not yet been confirmed, but his new album, 'Graduation', is due out in the US in September. |
Daughtry play second ever UK date US superstars Daughtry have confirmed only their second ever UK show at the Scala in London on 27th November 2007. The band last played in the country in June of this year when their Borderline show sold out in a matter of minutes and fans camped out all day for tickets that were changing hands on the internet for ?400. The band, fronted by Chris Daughtry have been touring consistently across the US since the release of their debut album in the US last November and have gone on to sell an incredible 3 million copies and hitting the number one spot (twice!) on the Billboard top 100. It?s still the biggest selling album in the US this year, and new single 'Over You? is one of the most added songs at US radio, currently at no. 25 in the Billboard chart and rising. The album entered the UK charts at No. 13 upon it?s release in August. Having recently visited Singapore and Australia for the first time, Daughtry returned to the US to discover they had been nominated for 3 American Music Awards: Favourite Album (Pop or Rock), Favourite Artist (Adult Contemporary) and Favourite Breakthrough Artist. Daughtry consist of Josh Paul (bass), Joey Barnes (drums), Brian Craddock (guitar), Josh Steely (guitar) and Chris Daughtry (vocals). They recorded their triple platinum album with Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, All American Rejects) which went on to spend over 30 weeks in the Billboard Top Ten on release. The band will release a single 'Home? on 7th January (originally scheduled for late October). |
Crowded House plot North American tour Crowded House have announced their first North American tour since 1996. The legendary Kiwis will kick things off in Northampton, Massachusetts on August 4 and hit major US and Canadian cities including Boston, New York, Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles. They'll wrap things up in Atlanta, Georgia on September 12. The band is supporting their first new album since 1993. 'Time On Earth' is due out on July 10, and features guest appearances by The Smiths legend Johnny Marr and the Dixie Chicks, as previously reported. The touring band will feature Matt Sherrod on drums, standing in for the late Paul Hester.
