Cassette Bring 'Beautiful California' Across The US

With Beautiful California remaining on the CMJ Top 200 chart since it's early March debut, Miami's electro-pop outfit Cassette hit the road May 3 in Baltimore, Maryland. The debut album is comprised of 35 short tracks, which Devin Smith a.k.a. Cassette released on Atomisk Records, a label co-founded by Smith and college buddy Patrick Hart. In May, Smith will hit the road with his live band aiming to receive the same treatment as in his hometown, where they regularly sell-out shows.

The Cribs dedicate song to 80s legend

The Cribs dedicated 'We Can No Longer Cheat You' to Edwyn Collins tonight (May 29) at their gig at London's Astoria.

Collins produced the band's 2005 album, and was present for the group's celebratory gig after the Top 20 success of their Alex Kapranos produced 'Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever' album.

Gary Jarman addressed the crowd by saying: "Are you alright there London? Are you sure?"

The Pigeon Detectives have topped the NME Chart tonight (May 27).

'I'm Not Sorry' has knocked Gallows 'Abandon Ship' off the top spot.

New entries on the chart come from The Killers at Number Four with 'For Reasons Unknown', Queens Of The Stone Age at Number Six with 'Sick, Sick, Sick', Editors at Number Seven with 'Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors', Cold War Kids at Number Nine with 'Hospital Beds' and The Enemy at Number Ten with 'Had Enough'.
