Mick Jagger reveals details of 'Best Of' collection
Mick Jagger has announced he will release his very first career-spanning retrospective this autumn.
'The Very Best Of Mick Jagger' is due out in the US on October 2 and features 17 tracks spanning The Rolling Stones frontman's solo career from 1970 onward.
The album includes duets with the likes of Bono, David Bowie and reggae legend Peter Tosh, among others.
It also features three previously unreleased tracks, including 'Too Many Cooks (Spoil The Soup)', which was produced by John Lennon and recorded in 1973 in Los Angeles. The other two tracks are demos from Jagger's Wandering Spirit session with famed producer Rick Rubin.
"For me, it's a great thing to listen to since all the songs speak to a certain time and make things come alive for me," Jagger said in a statement. |

They Might Be Giants reveal new album details
They Might Be Giants have revealed details of the follow-up to 2005's children's album 'Here Come The ABCs'.
Entitled 'The Else', the album was recorded on both coasts of the US in collaboration with The Dust Brothers, and was a learning experience for both parties.
"They're electronic musicians unto themselves" says guitarist John Flansburgh."When you work with them, you see how directly involved they are in the creation of their tracks. We really didn't know how they worked, when we started. But we ended up collaborating with them on a lot of different levels: We sometimes gave them beats and they created the songs around the beats. Then there were songs that were almost entire tracks that we manipulated. And then there were tracks that we gave to them to tweak and dust up in the way that they do."
The track listing is:
'I'm Impressed'
'Take Out The Trash'
'Upside Down Frown'
'Climbing The Walls'
'Careful What You Pack'
'The Cap'm'
'With The Dark'
'The Shadow Government'
'Bee Of The Bird Of The Moth'
