3 Beat Records hits 18
Influential Liverpool record shop 3 Beat, become one of clubland?s longest running brands in November when they reach their 18th year. To celebrate this fact, on Saturday November 10th, the 3 Beat team are putting on a very special party at the Carling Academy in Liverpool, that will reflect the history and legacy of the 3 Beat name. The party is called 'Back To The Old 'Pool' and flying to Liverpool to headline is the godfather of house, Marshall Jefferson with a PA from house legend, Ce Ce Rogers. Joining them will be a host of local DJ talent past and present including Steve Parry, Andy Carroll and Steve Proctor.

Mahogany set for Club NME New York
Fresh from a tour of Peru, Mahogany are set to headline Club NME NYC this Thursday (June 14) at The Annex.
The Brooklyn buzz-band opened for Bloc Party on their recent UK tour, managing to give Kele and co a run for their money with their fuzzy pop space age hooks.
The band's third record 'Connectivity!' is set for release in Europe on Track and Field Records, having come out late last year in the US via Darla Records.
Claire Records will be releasing a vinyl version of 'Connectivity!' as well as a 12inch with remixes by Ulrich Schnauss and Dave Pianka (Making Time/ Rvng Intl. )
Opening will be fellow New York pop-electro act Monocle. |
Klaxons to release Justin Timberlake cover
Klaxons are set to release their cover of Justin Timberlake's "My Love."
It will be included as a B-side on the band's next single 'It's Not Over Yet," which is released in the U.K. on June 25.
The CD and etched 7" versions of the single will include the Timberlake cover and the Justice remix of "It's Not Over Yet."
The band have just announced they are to play Radio 1's Big Weekend on May 20 in Preston, shortly after they complete a sold-out U.K. tour. |
