Watch our exclusive Courtney Love interview
As previously reported, the singer played her first UK show for seven years last night (July 9), and afterwards confirmed her plans for her new album 'Nobody's Daughter' in an interview with our Too Much Information blog.
She said: "Playing live will show me what songs work and what songs don't. So I'm going to take a month off and then mix the record."
Love also revealed why so many of her new band are Brits - including Larrakin Love man Micko Larrakin.
She revealed: "I get along with English people better than American people because they're not such big cunts!"
Last night's show at London's Bush Hall also marked Love's birthday, with the singer claiming: "I'm as old as my waist size...I'm 25!"
You can see full interview below, including a contribution from 'The Mighty Boosh''s Noel Fielding.

The Monkeys claimed the Album Award at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London for their 2006 debut LP 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'.

Accepting the award, a humbled Turner added: "The boys are in bed so I have come down by myself.
"Whenever we've picked up awards before we've always gobbed off but I want to thank everybody for this award especially our managers Ian and [/b]Geoff[/b]. Without them no one would have heard our music."

Hot Chip new album
Hot Chip return with a new album 'Made In The Dark? in early 2008 through EMI Records.'
Made In The Dark? is the amazing & ambidextrous follow up to the massively acclaimed, Mercury Music Prize nominated album 'The Warning? recorded and self-produced during the last six months from their home London studio base.
'Made In The Dark? is faster and rockier than 'The Warning?, its 13 tracks are both rhythmical chaos (Shake A Fist?, 'Bendable Poseable?), soulful introspection (We?re Looking For A Lot Of Love?, the title track 'Made In The Dark? & 'In The Privacy Of Our Love?) and even contemporary widescreen pop (Ready For The Floor, One Pure Thought),The songs are propulsive, repetitive, rhythmical, methodical, wonky, intimate, beautiful and uniquely Hot Chip.
Keep an eye out for special shows and tour dates to be announced over the coming weeks. |
