| Foxy Brown alleged victim of attack Foxy Brown was reportedly the victim of a robbery in New York over the weekend, when four people attempted to steal her bag. The gang tried to steal the diminutive rapper's Louis Vuitton handbag, $500 cash and her credit cards in the early hours of Saturday morning in Brooklyn, according to reports. Police say Roshawn Anthony, 23 has been arrested in connection with the attack and was held on $50,000 bail. Anthony is denying the charges. But Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand is claiming that she was not robbed and it is a case of mistaken identity. "A lot of the time, people mistake me for someone else, or people always call in these false tips," the rapper told the New York Post. Police are sticking to their story that Marchand was at the location at that time, and the attack did happen. Brown has been arrested several times in recent times, two of the charges were related to incidents in beauty salons in New York and Florida where the rapper reportedly attacked salon employees. |
Tegan and Sara announce North American tour Tegan and Sara have announced a string of intimate dates in the US and Canada kicking off July 14 in Victoria, BC. The sister-duo are gearing up for the release of their fifth album 'The Con' which is set to hit shelves on July 24. As previously reported here, the follow up to 2004's 'So Jealous' was co-produced by Christopher Walla (Death Cab For Cutie, The Decemberists0 at his Alberta Court studio and includes collaborations with Death Cab's Jason McGerr on drums and bass players AFI's Hunter Burgan and The Rentals' Matt Sharp. The duo are also planning a theatre tour in October. Ryan Adams adds North American dates Ryan Adams has added a string of North American dates to his summer tour. In addition to playing in Paris, London and Manchester as previously announced, he'll play in several US cities beginning June 18 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The singer will then hit Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston and Salt Lake City before wrapping things up at Colorado's Red Rock Amphitheatre on August 3. Adams is set to release his new album, 'Easy Tiger', on June 25 in the UK, and a day later in the US.
