| Love Of Diagrams Shape Tour The Australian trio, Love Of Diagrams, is set to change the shape of the US this spring when they simultaneously release their album Mosaic via Matador. Even though the band has toured already with the likes of Death Cab For Cutie, the Faint and Les Savy Fav, they are about to embark on their biggest trek to date with Ted Leo And The Pharmacists. The band signed to Matador late last year and released a self-titled EP in January, and riding a strong buzz, seem to have all the pieces falling into place. |
Editors debut new track at iTunes gig Editors continued the iTunes Festival season in London tonight (July 11) by debuting a new song. The Birmingham band premiered 'Banging Heads' for the first time in front of 350 people at the ICA. Hinting at an imminent release singer Tom Smith said: "That is going to be out some time in the future." The four-piece also played six songs from their second album 'An End Has A Start' as well as a host of hit singles from their first album 'The Back Room'. Smith said very little throughout the gig until the end when he thanked the crowd and added: "I hope you had the best time of your lives. We will see you soon." The biggest cheer came at the end when the band typically launched into 'Fingers In The Factories'. |
Amy Winehouse and Wu Tang Clan added to US Virgin Festival Amy Winehouse and Wu Tang Clan have been added to the US Virgin Festival. The august festival's line up also includes Yeah Yeah Yeahs, LCD Soundsystem and CSS. As previously reported the festival will be headlined by The Police, The Smashing Pumpkins and Beastie Boys. The bash will take place between August 4-5 in Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. Ticket are due to go on sale on May 5.
