Keith Richards to write autobiography?

Keith Richards is set to pocket over $5 million by signing a deal to pen his memoirs.

According to a report in the New York Post, The Rolling Stones guitarist will meet publishers in New York this summer to pitch his book.

Despite his agent Ed Victor being quoted as saying "it's way too early to talk about it" he did say the book could be "the greatest rock 'n' roll book of all time."

Victor represented Eric Clapton in a deal that secured the singer just under $5 million for 'Clapton: The Autobiography' which is due to become available later this year.

The Post also reports that a $1.6 million advance in the 1980's was returned after singer Mick Jagger failed to produce a promised autobiography, saying he couldn't remember enough to do a book.
Sons and Daughters unveil second album details

Sons & Daughters have revealed details of their second album, set to be released on January 29.

'This Gift' is the follow-up to 2005's 'The Repulsion Box' and was produced by former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler.

Written in Scottish barn over the summer of 2006, the album will be preceded by the album opener and lead single 'Guilt Complex', and features tracks 'Chains', 'Rebel With A Ghost' and 'Iodine'.

Meanwhile, the band are mapping a North American tour to coincide with the album's early 2008 release details of which will be revealed shortly.
Rage Against The Machine confirm early reunion

Rage Against The Machine members Tom Morello and Zack de la Rocha are set to play together before their high-profile festival reunion.

As previously reported the reunited band are set to play together for the first time since 2000 at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which will take place over the weekend of April 27-29.

However, Morello and de la Rocha are set to play for free at the 2007 Coalition of Immokalee Workers Truth Tour in Chicago on April 14.

The rally comes after the announcement that McDonalds will meet the demands of the CIW, an organisation whose members are largely immigrant working in low-wage jobs.

The duo will be part of a parade and carnival that make its way through downtown Chicago and return to Federal Plaza for a celebration featuring CIW members, reports Punk News.
