Amy Winehouse hospitalised for 'severe exhaustion'
Amy Winehouse was hospitalised in London today (August 8) for 'severe exhaustion'.
The singer's hospitalisation follows back-to-back performances at two US festivals this past weekend -- the Virgin Festival in Baltimore, and Lollapalooza in Chicago, where she gave an atypically lifeless performance as previously reported.
Winehouse was released from the hospital this afternoon and advised to "take complete rest," reports the Associated Press.
As a result, she has had to cancel her performances in Norway and Denmark scheduled for later this week. |

Paul Weller warts and all biography to be released
Paul Weller is to be the subject of a warts and all biography.
The book entitled 'Paul Weller: The Changing Man' has been penned by ex-NME journalist and friend Paolo Hewitt.
It charts the Modfather's life both on and off stage and is due to be released in September.
"This is the frankest ever portrait of Paul," said Hewitt. "It's not a 'he is wonderful' book but a 'how he is' book - flaws and greatness revealed."
Hewitt has known Weller since the pair were teenagers growing up in Woking, Surrey, reports The Sun. |
