| The Thrills reschedule UK tour dates The Thrills have rescheduled dates on their forthcoming UK tour. Due to "unforseen personal circumstances", the band have had a slight re-jig. New Jersey Company Sues Guns N' Roses New Jersey company claims Guns N' Roses owes it $107,000, plus interest, for handling gear and other services during the band's 2006 tour. Repeated requests have failed to bring payment, according to a lawsuit filed in state Superior Court for Essex County by Speed of Sound, of Irvington. The lawsuit was filed April 11 against GNR, three companies affiliated with the band that handled tour arrangements, and members of the rock group, including singer Axl Rose. Messages left for the band's manager and the companies were not immediately returned. GNR recently scrapped a series of international dates after bassist Tommy Stinson injured his hand. There has also been no information on the group's album, "Chinese Democracy," which was supposed to be released March 6 but then vanished from Interscope's schedule. |
Bestival sells out This year's Bestival bash has sold out - four months before it takes place. As previously announced on NME.COM, Beastie Boys and The Chemical Brothers will headline the festival, which takes place on September 7-9 at Robin Hill Country Park, Newport. Other acts confirmed to play include The Maccabees, Calvin Harris, Simian Mobile Disco, The Orb, Billy Bragg, The Cuban Brothers and The Go! Team. Dexy's Midnight Runners legend Kevin Rowland will play a DJ set at the Isle Of Wight event, which is curated by Rob Da Bank. |
