Daft Punk close Oxegen with robotic spectacular
Daft Punk closed the Oxegen Festival tonight (July 8) with a robotic spectacular.
Before they came on stage the duo showed a trailer of their forthcoming film 'Daft Punk's Elecroma'.
Coming on to a distinctive sample from the soundtrack to '2001: A Space Odyssey' and wearing their trademark metallic helmets duo Guy Manuel de Homem Christo and Thomas Bangalter stormed through a megamix of their hits for the Irish crowd.

Battles confirm North American outing
Battles have announced a lengthy tour of North America, kicking off next month in Charlottesville, VA.
The New York band will tour to promote the release of their debut album 'Mirrored', coming out May 22.
Currently on tour in Europe, they will hit London next week (May 16) for a show at La Scala.

Priestbird Make Their Debut
Priestbird, the band you may remember as New York's own Tarantula AD, make their recording debut with the release of In Your Time, out today via Kemado Records. Don't fret, the only thing changed is their name. Priestbird features the same three original members of Tarantula AD, and the band plays both old songs and new. But they are getting a little bit more crafty?their video for first single "Season Of The Sun" features imagery from the likes of Santars, Coco Rosie, Adam Levite, Ron Winters and more. Currently underway with a European tour, Priestbird will further support their debut with a US tour, kicking off May 8 in their hometown with support from Chicago band Pit Er Pat.
