Flooding causes Reading Festival camping shake-up

Flooding at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival site has forced organisers to close off camping areas and car parks.

Festival organiser Melvyn Benn has said that many camping areas are "unusable", so has put emergency flood plans into effect to accommodate campers arriving at the festival this weekend (August 24, 25 and 26).

Organisers have had to turn a proposed car park into an impromptu camp-site, and many campsites will have reduced capacity.

Information about the changes can be found on the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals homepage now.

"It's been a very difficult month," said Benn. "This summer has been bloody awful.

"But we will be able to stage the world's greatest rock festival despite what climate change and the weather have thrown at us. I always said the festival was more important than the weather!"
Tabloid Hell: Scary Spice goes to court

Spice Girl Mel B has filed a petition in a Los Angeles court that could force actor Eddie Murphy to cough up thousands of dollars in child support.

A paternity test taken by Murphy in June proved that he is the father of Melanie Brown's four month-old daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown, although the 'Shrek' star has yet to "legally acknowledge" that he is the father.

In court, Brown stated that the baby was mutually planned and conceived by her and Murphy during their four-month relationship. She is seeking "reasonable child support".

Brown also has an eight year-old daughter named Phoenix Chi, while Murphy has five children with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell. He recently became engaged to producer Tracey Edmonds.

The Spice Girls recently announced they are reuniting for a world tour which is set to earn the five women millions of dollars each.
Genesis to release expanded versions of classic albums

Genesis are to release expanded versions of their biggest-selling albums later this year.

Between them, 'Genesis' (1983), 'Invisible Touch' (1986), 'We Can't Dance' (1991) and 'Calling All Stations' (1997) sold over 40 million copies on CD alone.

The albums will be all be re-released in 5.1 surround sound and stereo mixes and will be on SACD/CD hybrid and DVD dual disc sets containing bonus material exclusive to each release.

Among the DVD extra are videos, tour documentaries and interviews.

A box set containing all of the expanded albums and an extra CD featuring rarities called 'Extra Tracks 1983-1997' is released on the same day.

Genesis recently completed a sold-out reunion tour of Europe, where they played to over a million people, and will perform dates in North America later this year.
