Prince to play legendary hometown venue
Prince has announced that he will perform at Minneapolis' First Avenue for the first time in 20 years this Saturday (July 7).
The Purple One helped make the venue in his hometown famous two decades ago by shooting the live scenes from his film, 'Purple Rain', at the club.
Tickets for the show are set to go on sale Saturday (July 6) for $31.21.
The First Avenue gig will follow a performance he has scheduled earlier in the day at the Minneapolis Macy's store to launch his new fragrance, 3121, as previously announced. |
Bloc Party announce North American jaunt
Bloc Party have announced that they will embark on an extensive tour of North America this fall.
They'll kick things off in Chicago on September 7, and will play dates in several cities including Houston, Nashville, and Mexico City.
They'll also make stops at Montreal's Osheaga Festival and Austin City Limits.
The band will wrap of their North American tour with their first-ever performance at New York's Theatre at Madison Square Garden on October 3. |
Kaiser Chiefs top the NME Chart
Kaiser Chiefs have topped NME Chart tonight (May 6) with 'Everything Is Average Nowadays'.
The band knock The Cribs off the top spot who drop to Number Two with 'Men's Needs'.
New entries on the chart come from Biffy Clyro who are at Number Three with 'Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies'.
Gallows at Number Five with 'Abandon Ship', The Pigeon Detectives at Number Nine with 'I'm Not Sorry'.
